About Dr. Parker
Dr. Jonathan Parker has been practicing in Muscle Shoals since 2014. He received a B.S. in biology and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and completed a M.S. in biomedical sciences (emphasis in clinical research) from A.T. Still University. He received his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he also served as chief resident. He is board-certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Parker has also completed extra training in obesity medicine. He lectures nationally, interviews with media, and is involved regionally and nationally in leadership with obesity medicine. He is on the board of directors of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is the President of the newly formed Alabama Obesity Society and serves as the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners appointee to the State Chronic Weight Management and Diabetes Task Force. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board of the journal Obesity Pillars, serves on the ethics committee for the Obesity Medicine Association, and has served as a contributor to Obesity Matters.
Dr. Parker is dedicated to serving his patients with both excellent and compassionate care. He currently resides in Tuscumbia with his wife Laura and their three children Hudson, Evie, and Mariella. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Jordan Weaver is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with an additional advanced certification in obesity medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. She began her nursing career in 2010. She joined Dr. Parker and Parker Family Medicine Metabolic Health Loss in 2018, where she specializes in primary care across the lifespan as well as obesity medicine. Jordan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. After gaining experience as a registered nurse, she furthered her education, receiving her Master of Science in Nursing in 2016 from South University in Montgomery, AL. Her previous experience includes work in medical surgical nursing, home health and hospice, and family practice. Raised in Sheffield, AL, Jordan resides with her husband, Austin, and their son, Brookman. In her spare time, she enjoys being with friends and family. She is dedicated to building relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their health and weight loss goals.

Brian Davenport is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with an advanced certification in obesity medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. He began his nursing career in 2014. He joined Dr. Parker in 2019 where he specializes in primary care along with obesity medicine. Brian received his ADN from Northwest-Shoals Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama. After gaining experience as a registered nurse in a medical unit, he furthered his education by earning a Master of Science in Nursing from Troy University. Brian currently resides in Leighton, AL, with his wife Taylor. He is a member of Leighton Baptist Church and loves spending time with family. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. Brian is a dedicated advocate for his patients and is committed to helping them achieve their goals.

Lindsey Moore is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with an advanced certification in obesity medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. She began her nursing career in 2008 after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama. She then spent time gaining invaluable experience as a registered nurse before furthering her education by earning her Master of Science in Nursing in 2015 from South University. She joined Parker Family Medicine & Metabolic Health in 2020, where she specializes in preventive primary care across the lifespan as well as obesity medicine. Her previous experience includes work in the ENT setting as well as Urgent Care. She was raised in Florence, Alabama where she currently resides with her husband Gabriel and children Weston and Willa Kay.
